6. Describe your childhood. I grew up on a ranch.

7. What did you enjoy doing as a child? Darts

8. What is your earliest memory? Being bathed in the kitchen sink by my mother.

9. How old were you when you went on your first date and where did you go? 16. Patricia and I ate lunch after Sunday preaching.

10. Married? Patricia Carrol Sylvanias, June 11, 1877.

11. How did you meet your spouse? Arranged meeting through parents.

12. Children: Olivia Shannon (1886-), Bernadette Matine (1888-), Isaac Nicholas (1891-1901), Diane Ellen (1892-), Thomas Wayne (1894-)

16. What brought you to Eagle Creek? Tossed a dart on a map and said to Patricia, "Let's move there."

19. What was your first job? Rancher

20. How much did you make? Room and board

21. What did you like to do in your free time? Hunt

22. What are you doing now? Looking at a very pretty young lady. Wondering why my son has not courted her yet.

24. What makes them admirable? His devotion to promoting the beauty of nature.

25. What is your favorite food? Venison

27. What is your favorite song? Cast Thy Burden On the Lord by Roland Hill.

28. Hobbies: Wood working.

29. Name of the last book you read? A Short History of the Life of Barton W. Stone Written by Himself.

30. Tell me about a memorable moment in your life; a time you will never forget. When I was 16, I was feeling out of sorts one day so I went for a walk in the mountains. I went into a cave only to discover a pair of bear cubs. I turned around and, you guessed, momma was home and she was none to happy with the visitor. I stayed motionless for plum near an hour and then slowly walked away. She did not see me as a threat so I got away from a most uncomfortable situation.

31. What things do you find yourself doing that you said you'd never do? Reading my son Tommy's poetry.

32. What are the goals you are still working toward? I want to make sure all of my ranch hands know how to read and write.

33. When people look back at your life, how do you want to be remembered? Stout and Sturdy.

34. What is your favorite outdoor activity? Waiting for a hunting dog to scare up a flock of geese and then blasting away.

35. Do you attend church or religious services? Eagle Creek Memorial Church

36. What is your favorite Bible verse? Don't really have one, it's all good

37. What makes you happy? Seeing everyone do their job and taking pride in their work.

38. What makes you sad? Disrespect

39. What frightens you? The rapid spread of a childish, entertainment oriented culture.

40. What is there about you that would surprise people if they found out? I am not too proud to cry if the moment hits me. I don't care whose watching.
