6. Describe your childhood. I live above and work in a bakery.
7. What did you enjoy doing as a child? Playing pranks on customers.
Did you put a lizard in Mrs. Grayson's loaf bread? -SC
Of course not. By the way, what's that in your hair?
(Sarah screams, runs around the kitchen attempting to remove the lizard from her coiffure.)
I was saving it for Sunday school, but, this moment seemed right too.
8. What is your earliest memory? Playing "paddy-cake" with my daddy.
9. How old were you when you went on your first date and where did you go? Pete Jackson and I went for a stroll last week. We went down to the creek. He tried to impress me by skipping rocks. After a while, I just walked off. He is a milquetoast dolt!
10. Married? Someday.
11. How did you meet your spouse? Whoever can rescue me from this dull town and this stupid bakery.

16. What brought you to Eagle Creek? Brought here against my will by my parents when I was five.

18. Occupation: Bakery worker.
19. What was your first job? Bakery worker.
20. How much did you make? Nothing. I remain a slave.
21. What did you like to do in your free time? Plan my escape.
22. What are you doing now? Thinking of a boy.

29. Name of the last book you read? Romero the Pirate: A Tale of Forbidden Passions by Edith Browling. A book which you were supposed to give back to me, Sarah.
My mother found it. She gave me a "Good girls don't read bad literature" lecture and then she threw it in the trash. -SC
Oh please! Sarah, she is reading the book herself.
My mother would never read such a tawdry novel! -SC

30. Tell me about a memorable moment in your life; a time you will never forget. When I was 10, I won a baking contest. I made a Chocolate layer cake. I beat out several other women including my own mother.
31. What things do you find yourself doing that you said you'd never do? Being nice to Lynn Watson.
I told you never to do that! -SC
Sarah, you're impossible. Lynn Watson is a nice girl. Give her a chance.
32. What are the goals you are still working toward? I would like to lose twenty pounds without really trying.
33. When people look back at your life, how do you want to be remembered? As the most beautiful girl in the world.
34. What is your favorite outdoor activity? Kissing.
35. Do you attend church or religious services? Eagle Creek Memorial Church. Briefly excommunicated, October 1909. Allowed to return after I wrote "I will only use holy words in church" on a piece of paper one thousand times.
36. What is your favorite Bible verse? Jude 2:15-16
