6. Describe your childhood. I grew up in Fargo. My parents and my father's sister Wen owned a laundry there. They were very successful but increasingly leery of big city life. Our shop was robbed by a man at gunpoint and it really frightened my mother.
After that, my parents looked for a place to expand the business but in a safer environment. My Uncle Xinyu lives in River City and works for a paving company. He was always talking about the pleasant town of Eagle Creek.
My parents came here for a week back in April and they decided to move here. I wish I was back in Fargo. There was always something to do. Eagle Creek is dull.

7. What did you enjoy doing as a child? I was on a girls' basketball team at East Fargo Jr. High. I played center. At this school, there is only one basketball goal and it's chained to a tree and at the 8 ft. level instead of 10 ft..

9. How old were you when you went on your first date and where did you go? I had a boyfriend in Fargo. His name was Carl. My mother didn't like me dating him because he was White and a Christian. Of course, that's probably why I dated him in the first place.
My mother wants me to have an arranged marriage when I graduate high school. I think that's stupid. I want to date whomever I want.

Governor Burke was a very nice man. He ended up spilling gravy on his white shirt during the dinner. My dad went down the street and got one of his own white shirts; he and the governor were the same size.
My dad then took the dirty shirt, cleaned it and gave it to him at the end of the night. The governor wrote a nice thank you note and my mother had it framed.
